May The Force Be With You Blog Hop

Happy Friday!
Welcome to the May The Force Be With You Blog Hop!

This hop is a Star Wars themed hop.  Truth be told I'm a huge Star Wars fan!

If you are just coming from Candace's Blog, you are right on track.  If you just came across my blog and would like to hop along, please start at the beginning here.

I made a bookmark for my brother.  A big reader he is and his current bookmark is well.... needing a little boost.  It's a Star Wars bookmark but I wanted to make him something handmade.  Since we both love Yoda, I thought this was perfect for him.

Recipe:
Papers came from my stash/scraps
Pattern is The Master from Little Scraps Of Heaven Designs
Holly Green twine from Trendy Twine
Glossy Accents
Copic Sketch Markers-110, C5, G19

Thank you so much for hopping by and...May The Force Be With You!  Ok so I'm not that funny and that was pretty corny lol.  Did I get ya to laugh at least?  If I did, then my work here is done lol.

Your next stop is Crystal's Blog.

Here is the lineup in case you get lost...

Pinterest Inspired Bookmark & Blog Hop This Weekend

So everyone loves Pinterest.  What a great way to get the creative juices flowing...

I found this idea here.  I wanted to make sure I gave credit to the person where the idea sparked off of Pinterest.  Bookmarks made with elastic headbands?! Love the idea!

I have so many of these :)

(I have more but obviously you don't need to see my hair accessories collection lol)

Just wanted to share how I put it together.  I did use the dimensionals so it wouldn't look messy.

Another view...

Decided to make two of them :)

Theme Day Thursday At Erica's My Cricut Craft Room

Happy Thursday!

Today is Theme Day over at Erica's My Cricut Craft Room where we were given the option to either do a Baby Boy Theme or use the Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge.

I went with using the Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge and made a bookmark...

This corner bookmark tutorial can be found at Splitcoaststampers.  For the flower I used was Scallop1 on page 13.  I cut that at 5 1/2inches.  The leaf was the Exotic5 on page 22 and I cut that at 3inches.

Recipe:
Paper is from my scraps
Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge
Border punch is from Martha Stewart
Ribbon and stamens are from my stash

Thanks for visiting and please be sure to check out all the other projects over at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com
