Amy Jo's Birthday Bash & Blog Hop February 28th-29th

Good morning, fabulous friends and welcome to Amy Jo's Birthday Bash & Blog Hop! We are so excited you could join us today to help celebrate Amy's birthday!

This is a very special unique hop as we were not required to just stick with one particular subject or theme. Amy asked us all to use any of her favorite things to create a card or project with that in mind. Some examples of Amy's favorite things are the colors black, white, and hot pink, along with anything Alice in Wonderland and the Smurfs just to name a few.

If you arrived here from Barbara's Blog, then you are in the right place! If you just happened upon my blog today, please start at the beginning with Amy Jo because you don't want to miss out on the fabulous prizes that are being sponsored!

This is a two-day hop; however, we are only making one project. That should give you two full days to go through the entire hop and leave comments on each blog and become followers of each blog, if you are not already, to be entered to win some of our sponsored prizes! Some blogs may be offering blog candy as well so this is a hop you're gonna wanna finish!

I went with a card and I picked her fav colors black, white, hot pink with zebra print and hint of fashion thrown in there. I hope she likes it...

Papers are from Recollections
Forever Young Cricut cartridge
Atyou Spica in Black
Joyslife.com Everyday Occasions and Holiday Occasions
VersaFine in Onyx Black
Spellbinders Nestabilities-Small Oval and Small Scallop Oval

For my blog candy...

The My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary Jack & Jill 6 x 6 paper pad.

To win, simple leave a message and a way for me to reach you. Extra entries if you become a friend on Facebook and my blog. I will use Random.org and announce the winner on Tuesday, March 6th.

Thank you so much for joining us and helping us celebrate along with Amy! Your next stop is the talented Liz.

Mardi Gras Blog Hop

Welcome to our Mardi Gras parade. I must warn you though while you may enjoy jumping up to catch beads, doubloons, cups, stuffed animals--whatever! Please yell at the float riders "Throw me something, Mister!" Bring a large, sturdy plastic or cloth bag to hold all the treasure you'll be catching - if you try to put all of your beads around your neck, you'll have a hard time standing up straight! Be prepared: some people get so overcome with excitement they will occasionally jump in front of you to grab what a rider has thrown to you. Don't get into a tug-o-war....there are many more floats on the way! If you're from far away, some visitors hold up a sign saying where they are from.. our local riders love to see people from far away have a good time and will throw to them to make sure they do!

The colors of Mardi Gras are: Purple which reprsents justice; Green which represents faith; and Gold which represents power.Mardi Gras is always held the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. Mardi Gras is music, parades, picnics, floats, excitement ... and one big holiday in New Orleans! Everyone is wearing purple, green, and gold; and adorned with long beads caught from the beautiful floats. They sit on the ground throwing balls, playing music, having a picnic, and watching the crowds walk by between parades.

Instead of beads, coconuts (which apparently is the most prized throw from floats) and other baubles, we have a great sponsor:

Sew, sit back with your beverage of choice, just keep in mind the police will be in full force watching for drunken lewdness as this is a family event! Feel free to watch in costume, as this is a festive hop!! If you have arrived from Janet's Blog on the parade route, then you are sitting at the best seat in the house! If you have just happened to be visiting me today, don't get me wrong as I always love visitors, I would love for you to start at the beginning of our parade route at Lynne, your hostess along with Kimberly, at http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/.

So today I have a mask for you!

Papers are from my scraps
Chic & Scary Cricut cartridge
Lindy Stamp Gang-Glitz Spritz in Cactus Gold, Starburst Sprays in Witch's Potion Purple, Wake Me Up Before You Go Gold and Freaky Franken-Lime
Trim and flowers are from my stash
Small flower is a punch from Fiskars

Hope enjoyed my float in the parade.

To continue on the parade route, Your next stop is Lisa's Blog.

I would love for you to throw me your comments as to my tribute to Mardi Gras!

Crafty Friends Give Blog Hop Day 2

**Click here for Decorate Your Home Blog Hop**
**Click here for Sketch Blog Hop**

Welcome to the Crafty Friends Who Care blog hop. We are so glad you could join us for Day 2 of this very special hop. We have more fabulous projects for you. But the most important thing about this is to raise awareness about bone marrow donations to help Leukemia patients.

Bone marrow donation technology has come a long way, and is now as simple as giving blood. So we are trying to raise awareness and get people to register at http://www.marrow.org to be a bone marrow donor. And why are we doing this your might ask? To help a friend a fellow crafter, Liz Decade. Liz is battling 2 different forms of acute Leukemia and needs a bone marrow transplant. We are hoping that this hop will help her to find a match. You can see her story at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Va6RNwYj4BE&list=UUz-JkPSKRldHJNbbEotv8DQ&feature=plcp.

Even if you are not a match for Liz, you can still help her. You see bone marrow registrations drives are expensive, you have to pay for each person who is registered, and Liz is trying to raise money for bone marrow drives and medical expenses (it costs a lot of money to get a transplant). You can donate to Liz at lizquesada.leukemia@gmail.com. All of the money donated will go to bone marrow drives or medical expenses.

And we have some wonderful sponsors who have donated prizes for our hop.
Sweet Stamping Treats Digital Stamps, Trendy Twine, MB Treasurista, Paper Piecings by Nikki, Inspired Stamps, My Pink Stamper, Peachy Keen Stamps and Market Street Stamps have all donated prizes to this hop. In order to be eligible for one of  these prizes you must comment on every blog in this hop! There are other requirements for the sponsors so please see Liz's blog post for more details.

If you are coming from Amber's Blog you are on the right track. If you want to start from the beginning please go to Liz's blog (http://decadeofscrap.blogspot.com).

Here is my card...

Papers are from my scraps
Pagoda Cricut cartridge
White gel pen

Don't forget about the blog candy that I'm giving away. You must comment on both days of the hop...yesterday and today!

Thank you for stopping by and don’t forget to go to Marrow.org and find out how to become a marrow donor. If you would like to see my post from yesterday, please click here.
