Christmas In July Blog Hop Day 2
For the Christmas in July Blog Hop Day 1, click here.
Hello again and welcome to day 2 of the Christmas in July Blog Hop. I hope you all are enjoying the hop so far. If you have just hopped from Bobbi at Rock Girl Custom Designs, you are right on track. If you have just come across my blog and would like to hop along, please start over with our hostess Lisa at Scrapping With Lisa.
Today I decided to show everyone ornaments for the Christmas tree. This is the first Christmas that my fiance and I will be up here in Michigan. For those you that don't know, I moved from Delaware to Michigan back in the end of April. Of course we have no decorations but happily my fiance decided to let me decorate the house for the holidays in my own way.
Now.....you see how to make these glitter ornaments everywhere so I'm not going to do a tutorial. Just go on to YouTube and it will bring up a lot of videos. There are many ways you can make these...reinkers, Pledge Floor Shine, Beacon Glitter It, etc.. My preference is the Glitter It. Here is a picture below.
From what I gather, at time it's hard to find the Glitter It. I found mine at AC Moore last year and when the holiday came to an end, I ran to pick up a ton of bottles so hopefully I'm good for this year. If you are having a hard time finding the Glitter It, my next suggestion is to use the Pledge Floor Shine. Here are 2 of the ornaments.
Ornaments were bought at Hobby Lobby.
Ribbon is from last year's Christmas but I think it was bought at Joanns.
Martha Stewart Glitter in Garnet and Malachite
I have 1 more ornament to show and this one is a little different.
Styrofoam ball
Beads, pins, sequins and ribbon came from my stash
Green glitter glue
Remember to comment on each day of the hop for your chance to win a $10 gift card to your choice of Michaels, Joanns or Hobby Lobby. I am drawing using Random. org 3 winners. One for each day. Again, to win, simply leave a comment and a way for me to reach you.
Thanks for hopping by and have a fabulous day. Be sure to come back tomorrow for another chance to win and to see a new project.
Keep on hopping over to April at Curls and Grins.

Decorate it any way you like.

The purpose of this hop is to help you use up some of your scraps. I'm sure you've got your fair share - I know I do! You'll see 30 talented crafters coming up with unique ways to use their scraps. Some may share tips on how they store their scraps as well! Be sure to visit all the blogs & leave comments, as there will be a grand prize, a $50 credit to the Designs on Cloud 9 store, http://www.designsoncloud9.com/ sponsored by Michelle of Designs on Cloud 9. I have a ton of scraps. As you can see....
Actually, I have another 2 of those boxes filled. I keep my scraps in the Recollection boxes I got at Michaels. My scraps range anywhere from tiny little pieces to a 12 X 12 cardstock with a little piece taken off. These boxes work fabulously for me but I could probably store my scraps better.
I have two projects today......
The card layout is a sketch that is being used for this weeks' challenge at GAB Challenge Blog. Stop on over to play along.
Recipe:
All paper are scraps
Ribbon is from my stash
Lindy Stamp Gang-Starburst Sprays in Azure Sea Asters, Cotton Candy Pink, Marigold Yellow Orange and Yellow Rose of Texas
VersaFine in Onyx Black
TPC Studio Greetings
Elegant Edges cricut cartridge
Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly punch
The other project I have is a door hanger I made for my cousin for her craft room. Though I gotta tell ya, I was a little worried half way through this one. I couldn't find anymore aqua cardstock. But low and behold I found a small piece hiding under other scraps.
Recipe:
All paper are scraps
Brads are from my stash
Flower punch is EK Success
Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly punch
Elegant Edges & Home Decor cricut cartridges
We R Memories eyelets
Tulle
I'm also giving away blog candy. One person selected via Random. org will receive a $10 gift card to their choice of Michaels, Joanns or Hobby Lobby. To win, simply leave a comment and a way for me to reach you. To win another entry, become my friend on Facebook by clicking here. Let me know you are coming from the hop so I know to give you another entry. I will announce the winner on Wednesday, July 13th.

Quick & Simple Birthday Card
Hi everyone! It's such a nice morning here in Michigan so I wanted to get a quick post in before I take advantage of the great weather. It's supposed to rain later on this afternoon so I think I'm going to go sit outside for a bit and soak in the sun.
I wanted to show everyone the card I made for my step mom for her birthday. Her birthday is on Saturday but with mailing I had to get it out today. This is a great card for anybody who doesn't have a lot of time to create. It's clean and simple.
Recipe:
Paper-Stampin Up Crumb Cake and DCWV Mariposa
Craft string
TPC Studio Greetings
VersaFine in Onyx Black

Paper is DCWV Street Lace

Flowers are I Am Roses and Prima
Paisley cricut cartridge

Hi again! This is my second post of the day. If you want to see my previous post, please go to the post below this one.

With my other two, one will be for my family and the other for my friends. I can't wait to show you the other two, but for today it will just be the one. Sorry for some of the bright spots....I really need a new camera.
