For the Christmas in July Blog Hop Day 1, click here.
Hello again and welcome to day 2 of the Christmas in July Blog Hop. I hope you all are enjoying the hop so far. If you have just hopped from Bobbi at Rock Girl Custom Designs, you are right on track. If you have just come across my blog and would like to hop along, please start over with our hostess Lisa at Scrapping With Lisa.
Today I decided to show everyone ornaments for the Christmas tree. This is the first Christmas that my fiance and I will be up here in Michigan. For those you that don't know, I moved from Delaware to Michigan back in the end of April. Of course we have no decorations but happily my fiance decided to let me decorate the house for the holidays in my own way.
Now.....you see how to make these glitter ornaments everywhere so I'm not going to do a tutorial. Just go on to YouTube and it will bring up a lot of videos. There are many ways you can make these...reinkers, Pledge Floor Shine, Beacon Glitter It, etc.. My preference is the Glitter It. Here is a picture below.
From what I gather, at time it's hard to find the Glitter It. I found mine at AC Moore last year and when the holiday came to an end, I ran to pick up a ton of bottles so hopefully I'm good for this year. If you are having a hard time finding the Glitter It, my next suggestion is to use the Pledge Floor Shine. Here are 2 of the ornaments.
Ornaments were bought at Hobby Lobby.
Ribbon is from last year's Christmas but I think it was bought at Joanns.
Martha Stewart Glitter in Garnet and Malachite
I have 1 more ornament to show and this one is a little different.
Styrofoam ball
Beads, pins, sequins and ribbon came from my stash
Green glitter glue
Remember to comment on each day of the hop for your chance to win a $10 gift card to your choice of Michaels, Joanns or Hobby Lobby. I am drawing using Random. org 3 winners. One for each day. Again, to win, simply leave a comment and a way for me to reach you.
Thanks for hopping by and have a fabulous day. Be sure to come back tomorrow for another chance to win and to see a new project.
Keep on hopping over to April at Curls and Grins.
