Royal Tea Bridal Shower Blog Hop

Good morning and happy Thursday!  Welcome to the Royal Tea Bridal Shower Blog Hop hosted by the amazing and talented Ellen at Card Monkey.  If you are coming from Brynn at Flair And Frills, then you are right on track.  If you are coming across my blog and would like to hop along, please start over with Ellen.

In honor of the royal wedding taking place tomorrow, what better way than to have a blog hop all about tea, tea party, bridal shower, etc..  I'm heading towards the end of the hop and I hope you're all enjoying yourselves.

I know some Italians that have two events for a wedding before the wedding.  One is a bridal shower and one is a tea.  The tea is a little more intimate than a bridal shower and is literally a tea party.  I decided for this hop I would create a teapot along with a tea bag holder.  Enjoy!
Recipe:
Tea pot came from Creations With Ar, it's called Tea Time Card And Box Set
Tea box came from My Time Made Easy, it's called Tea Tab Box
Paper is DCWV Lemon Flower Stack
Yellow Rose of Texas Starburst Spray from Lindy Stamp Gang
Flowers are Prima and Recollections
Trims are from A Treasures Nest

Here are 2 other pictures....

I really wanted to keep it simple because I absolutely love that paper and didn't want to take away from it.

For the blog candy.....
One lucky hopper will be selected via Random.org for a $20.00 gift card to your choice of Michaels, Joanns or Hobby Lobby.  To win, simply leave a comment and a way for me to reach you.  I will announce the winner on Monday, May 2nd.

Thank you so much for hopping/stopping by.  A huge thank you to Ellen at Card Monkey for letting me be a hop stop.

Have a great day and your next stop is the fabulous Elaine at Expressions By Elaine.

GAB #12-Technique

Good morning everyone, I hope you all enjoy your weekend and have a wonderful Easter.  It's Saturday, so that means another exciting week at GAB Challenges.  This month's technique challenge is.....

Faux Tile Technique

You can find the tutorial for this technique at Splitcoaststampers.  Now...I'm not going to lie, I've been dreading this challenge since we started this challenge blog in February.  It's a time consuming technique that I wouldn't use on a regular basis.  Sorry for the picture quality, the glossing accents definitely made picture taking difficult.  Plus I took the picture from a different angle to reduce the glare.  This was my first attempt at the faux tile and yes I wasn't sure about cutting the squares so I did cut at the wrong place and it looks like she has another eye.  I still like how it turned out and I hope you all do too.  Enjoy!

Recipe:
Digi stamp is Sophie In The Country from The Paper Shelter
Paper is Recollections
Copic Sketch Markers-B93, B95, B97, E21, E25, E27, E29, E34, E35, E50, R37, RV34, Y35, Y38, YG67
I made the background with Momento Summer Sky and Craft Smart in Kelly Green.  I used a cosmetic sponge to create the look.
TPC Studio Playful Expressions Stamp Set
Glossy Accents

Thanks for visiting and I hope you join us this week at GAB Challenges.

I have for you today another birthday card that I'm going to put in my card box.  I'm making a ton of cards right now to stash away.  As most of you know, I'm moving to Michigan in 2 weeks with my darling fiance as he's been promoted but at the cost of being relocated.  I'm taking it on a positive note and look forward to starting a new chapter in my life.  I also look forward to sending a ton of cards out to my family and friends.

Challenges are awesome in my book as they give me inspiration to make more creations.  This card I decided to keep simple and I'm kinda in the middle on how it turned out.  I think I went a little cut happy on the digi image, but all in all....I think it turned out beary cute lol.  Ok so I can't make jokes....
