GAB #12-Technique

Good morning everyone, I hope you all enjoy your weekend and have a wonderful Easter.  It's Saturday, so that means another exciting week at GAB Challenges.  This month's technique challenge is.....

Faux Tile Technique

You can find the tutorial for this technique at Splitcoaststampers.  Now...I'm not going to lie, I've been dreading this challenge since we started this challenge blog in February.  It's a time consuming technique that I wouldn't use on a regular basis.  Sorry for the picture quality, the glossing accents definitely made picture taking difficult.  Plus I took the picture from a different angle to reduce the glare.  This was my first attempt at the faux tile and yes I wasn't sure about cutting the squares so I did cut at the wrong place and it looks like she has another eye.  I still like how it turned out and I hope you all do too.  Enjoy!

Recipe:
Digi stamp is Sophie In The Country from The Paper Shelter
Paper is Recollections
Copic Sketch Markers-B93, B95, B97, E21, E25, E27, E29, E34, E35, E50, R37, RV34, Y35, Y38, YG67
I made the background with Momento Summer Sky and Craft Smart in Kelly Green.  I used a cosmetic sponge to create the look.

Glossy Accents

Thanks for visiting and I hope you join us this week at GAB Challenges.

Very cool! I can't do stuff like this - I just plain stink at lining stuff like that up and then I show it to my husband and the first thing out of his mouth is "it's crooked." *LOL* You did a great job!
