Ornaments, Christmas Tree, and Some Extra Things!!

I've been so busy with holiday shopping, baking, crafting and everything else that I haven't had the chance to post anything.  No Internet connection the last couple of days have not helped much either (the whole area around my house got knocked out).  With that being said, this may be a long post.

Thought I'd share my Christmas tree pictures.  It's a real tree and I didn't like it at first but once the decorations went on the tree, I started to warm up to it.  Just a note, this is not my house...this is my mom's house.  My fiance and I are in the process of moving and didn't want to do another term on our apartment so my mom was gracious enough to open the house to me and my fiance until we move in April to our new home.

I also wanted to share another sequin ornament.  I like how this one turned out but boy my fingers were killing me when I finished it with all the sequin pins.

I know I know the glitter ornaments are the "thing" this year but I just love the way they turn out.  I was lucky enough to locate Beacon Glitter It at my AC Moore so I stocked up knowing that this stuff is not easy to find.
This first set was made for my house (just a note:  my name is actually Ashley, my family goes by Ashley but I go by Nikki with friends).  The glitter came from Martha Stewart Fine Glitter Iridescent Set.  Colors used were Lemon Drop, Sugar Plum, Limeade, Orange Sorbet and Sour Apple. The vinyl came from Provocraft.  I used cricut cartridge Songbird with the names welded together with my Gypsy.  These ornaments just turned out beautiful, I love the vibrant colors.

The green and red ornaments were made for my mom's co workers (she didn't want to let the sequin ornaments go lol).  For these I used Martha Stewart Green and Red Fine Glitter.  Snowflakes came from Hot Off The Press Dazzles and the memory thread came from DMC. Both the snowflakes and memory thread I purchased from Paper Wishes.
My fiance decided to enlist my help this year by asking me to make ornaments for his office ladies.  I needed to make 6 of them but it was 2 in each color.  I used Martha Stewart Fine Glitter in Turquoise and the from the Iridescent Set I used Cherry Popsicle and Wintermint.  The snowflakes again are Hot Off The Press Dazzles.

I made this ornament for my mom's co workers' daughter (no request, the little one is a girly girl and I love making things for her...she's 6 and she's my greatest fan).  The ornament was made with Martha Stewart Bubble Gun from the Iridescent Set.  Vinyl again came from Provocraft.  Name was welded together with my Gypsy and I used the cricut cartridge Songbird.  I put a lavender ribbon on top because her favorite colors are pink and purple.
I couldn't stop there, I just had to make her something to put the ornament in.
Cricut Cartridges:  Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and Winter Frolic
Lindy Stamp Gang:  Dark Chocolate Truffle Starburst Stain, Winter Jasmine Gold Starburst Spray and Poinsettia Red Gold Starburst Spray
Iridescent Clear Craft Glue

And a gift wouldn't be complete without a card.
Hello Kitty Greetings Cricut Cartridge
Cuttlebug Snowflake Embossing Folder
Lindy Stamp Gang:  Hottie Patottie Pink Starburst Spray, Silver Bells Tinsel Mica Powder
Tattered Angels:  Spring Violet and Black Gold

Here is a picture of the ornament and card together.  Just love the pink and purple

I was bored and decided to make the envelope look pretty and I wanted to test out my new pens.
Snowman came from Inkadinkado Filigree Snowman stamp set and I used archival ink on both the snowman and sentiment which came from Inkadinkado Warm Holiday Wishes stamp set.  Pens came Sakura Glaze set I purchased from Michaels.  I also used a Gelly Roll and I can't remember what it's called.

A final picture on what the ornament and box looked like when it was wrapped in cellophane with a pretty ribbon.

So that's a few things that I've been working on this holiday season.  My baking is all done thank goodness and I'm finishing up on a few last minute requests on Christmas cards.  I will post more pictures as I go along.  I tried to keep up with challenges and hops but I told myself today that I would take a break until Sunday and then back to challenges and hops and creating what ever it is I feel and of course get ready for Valentine's and my spring craft show in March.

If I don't come back on before Saturday, I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.

Oh what an inspiration! I will have to remember this for next year. I have not cut any vinyl on my cricut yet, but hope to soon! TFS!
