Fun In The Sun With Flower Soft

Good morning, Nikki here.  I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

So it's been awhile since I busted out my Flower Soft.  When I had seen the challenge for Catch The Bug (bright colors with the option of Flower Soft), I knew what I wanted to do.

I'm terrible with measuring and putting layers in the right spot. My fiance tells me that the point of a handmade card is....you put time and thought into making something nice for someone.  He's right, I'm just hard on myself lol.  I was going to submit it to Mojo Monday but I'm working on another card for that challenge.  It's where the card layout came from though.

This isn't going to anybody, I just wanted to use my Flower Soft.

Some Things I Was Working On Today

Good evening everyone!  I hope you all are enjoying your weekend.  Just a reminder to swing by GAB Challenge Blog with a new challenge every Saturday.  This week the challenge is emboss resist.  So I'm still having a couple of problems with blogger.  I'm starting to finally be able to comment again but the following is still a problem.  I'll be glad when it goes back to normal.

I wanted to share a few things.  My cousin called and her friend wanted a notebook altered.  I love when I get a chance to alter notebooks, it doesn't happen very often.  Her instructions were she wanted pink, purple and blue.  I usually do flowers but she wanted hearts.  I love how it turned out.
Recipe(besides the composition notebook):
Rock Princess cricut cartridge
Paper is from my scraps
Sakura Gel Pen in White
Ribbon is from my stash
Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst Spray in Winter Jasmine Gold

I wanted to make something for myself that would hold birthdays.
Recipe:
I used my YourStory Photo
The empty book shell came with my YourStory bundle when I had bought it at HSN when it first came out
Paper and bingo cards came from DCWV Celebration

I'm still learning about copics.  It's been really fun so far.  I made a card that will be going for a sketch challenge.  You can tell in the picture I'm trying to practice my blending(the hair is a little goofy in front).
Recipe:
Paper-Stampin Up Crumb Cake, DCWV Cotton Bloom
Digi stamp is WS Dressy Ebony from The Greeting Farm
Copic Sketch Markers-E000, E00, E21, E25, E27, YG63, YG67, YR65

An Altering Kind Of Day

Good evening everyone, Nikki here.  I hope where ever you are, you are all safe.  My thoughts go out to everyone that has been affected by the tornadoes.  It's been raining it's rear off here in Michigan with a possibility of severe weather in a bit.  Severe weather=staying inside and making it a crafty kind of day.

I'm usually making cards or some kind of paper crafting so I wanted to change it up.  I used a lot of Lindy Stamp Gang products.  If you get a chance, get them out.  I made these "picture holders" for my craft desk.  In case your wondering, the picture is of me, my sister and my dad at my sister's high school graduation.  Enjoy!

Winners Of Recent Blog Hops And A Challenge Card

Happy Thursday everyone!  One day closer to the weekend.  I've been having a hard time getting on the Internet as I still have no Internet or phone connection so I've been working off my Wi-Fi that's on my cell phone.  It seems to be a bit better today.  Hopefully the AT&T folks will come out tomorrow and finally give us connection.  We moved in April 30th and they've been saying they were coming out since May 2nd.

I need to announce the winners of recent blog hops that I've been in.  I first want to say thank you to everyone that has hopped/stopped by.  I do read all of the comments and I am so happy that I can inspire.  I love being inspired at the same time so when you leave comments, please leave me your blog so I can come and visit.  On to the winners.......

It's Saturday....yay!  I hope you all enjoy your weekend.  It's another exciting challenge week over at GAB Challenge Blog.  This month the color challenge is....

This Mother's Day has proven to be a difficult one as this is my first one away from my mom and mommom and boy do I miss them.  My mom has always told me she loves when I color The Greeting Farm stamps.  I decided that this would be the perfect opportunity to use my new stamp that I won from playing along at the Fresh Farm.  Her name is Stella and she is just the cutest.  Stampin Up Kiwi Kiss has been discontinued so I went with Old Olive.  I never ever would have thought to put these colors together but what a great combination of colors.  Enjoy!

Recipe:
Paper-Stampin Up cardstock in Rose Red, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive and Recollections
Wild Sprout Stella from The Greeting Farm
Border punch is EK Success
Copic Sketch Markers-E21, E25, E27, E29, E50, E51
Stampin Up Stampin Markers in Tempting Turquoise and Real Red
Stampin Up Classic Ink Pad in Old Olive and Real Red

My Favorite Things Die-namics Decorative Doily
EK Success Paper Shapers Daisy
Diamond Stickles
Stampendous Mother's Day stamp
Purple Daisy Designs is the flower stamp that coordinates with the Daisy Paper Shaper Punch.  I got this at a booth at the Great Lakes Mega Meet so I'm sorry I don't have anymore information on this rubber stamp.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you will join us this week.

Have a great weekend!
